Overview

Promoting an equitable, environmentally sustainable, and economically prosperous world is at the core of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. The SDGs are an ambitious set of goals and targets that provide a framework to address poverty, climate impact, gender inequality and other challenges while ESG focuses on evaluating a company’s environmental impact, social equity, and effective governance practices.

 These frameworks both center around encouraging sustainable practices and can leverage geospatial data and technologies to measure and monitor performance and progress. Data-driven insights can help harmonize ESG principles and the SDGs, fostering greater collaboration between corporations and stakeholders invested in achieving the sustainability local, national, and global scales.
